The contract for collection is with we/us Astute Assess & Collect.
The contract for the Integrity check is with we/us Astute Assess & Collect.
The agreement is the agreement between us and you the customer. The customer is you who places an order for collection & delivery, an Integrity check or both.
Integrity check means a visual inspection and road test carried out by our inspector on behalf of Astute Assess & Collect in accordance to these terms and conditions.
We distinguish between checks carried out for collection & delivery, and the full Integrity check.
All checks are for information purposes only for the customer to gain a better understanding of the condition of the vehicle.
The information obtained at the time of the inspection is collected to the best of our ability and defects reasonably capable of being found upon examination of the vehicle.
We can not be held liable and are not responsible for any defects which are later discovered unless reasonably expected to see them during the collection, integrity check and road test.
We can not advise on defects we can not see, or were not apparent during the inspection, or occur after the inspection. This includes any water ingress, dash warning lights that illuminate after inspection, electrical system faults including ECU.
All inspections are carried out with reasonable consideration for the age and mileage of the vehicle. Especially if they fall outside the report and services we provide.
Neither AAC or the inspector will have liability to you as a result of such defects.
a. Vehicle data checks, customers are advised to obtain these prior to our inspection
b. Oil and fuel consumption
c. Source of oil leaks
d. Brake fluid for contamination.
e. Brake lining material, other than what is visible without dismantling
f. Exhaust emissions and/ or catalytic converters
g. Air conditioning functions and efficiency
h. Vehicle technical systems, including engine management systems
i. Operation of cassette, CD players, TV, DVD, Sat Nav, Bluetooth or other in car entertainment systems
j. Diagnostics are not used
k. Underbody of vehicle is not checked as vehicles are not inspected on a ramp.
The inspection can only find or describe defects that can be reasonably found upon an external visual examination.
The inspection can not:
a. Inspect any parts or components of the vehicle that's are not accessible, or reasonably visible at the time of inspection.
b. Confirm whether a vehicle would pass an MOT
c. Confirm that all the components of the vehicle are original from the manufacturer.
d. Predict the life expectancy of any components of the vehicle
e. Confirm the authenticity of the vehicles V5, service history, MOT certificate, chassis or engine number
a. In order for Astute Assess and Collect to carry out a road test, the vehicle must have sufficient fuel, oil, coolant and washer fluid in it.
b. We require clear access to the vehicle and it needs to be in a clean condition
c. The vehicle needs to be in a roadworthy condition
d. The vehicle needs to have current MOT or be booked in for an MOT test.
a. The full fee for collection and delivery and or inspection needs to be paid at the time of booking.
b. We reserve the right to refuse an inspection if the vehicle is not clean, roadworthy accessible, or if the customer has not informed the seller of the inspection
c. If the customer has provided incorrect or incomplete information prior to inspection
In such circumstances we reserve the right to retain the fee in full. If you wish us to carry out a further inspection a further fee in full will be payable.
A cancellation fee of £25 will apply if you cancel by 2pm on the day before inspection, or its £55 after 2pm the day before
