Based in Tamworth, Astute Assess and Collect offers a cost effective expert car purchase inspection and vehicle collection and delivery service across the United Kingdom.

We are here to give you peace of mind for your next vehicle purchase, whether you are a private individual or a professional motor dealer, single vehicles, fleet movements or company vehicle de fleet inspections. On inspection we offer a telephone or email liaison complete with images and videos helping you make an informed decision. A full report of our findings will also be included in the Astute Integrity check fee.

What we do for integrity checks

If you have already purchased a vehicle we have had success in obtaining part refunds on the purchase price if items are missing such as tyre inflation kits/ spare wheels, service history is incomplete or if there is any undisclosed damage or previous paint repairs.

With a keen eye for the smallest detail when assessing a vehicle, from all cars and 4x4 to vans of all sizes, you can rely on us for car purchase inspection, whatever you are buying – electric and hybrid vehicles included.

 

 

 

 

All the checks for collection and delivery are carried out with addition to the following

  • Oil and fluid levels check when engine cold
  • Keys, locking wheel nut
  • Spare wheel, tyre kit, tools
  • Documents i.e. V5, MOT, service history, manual pack
  • Tyres – brands, tread and check if perished or signs of bulges
  • Previous paint repairs
  • Steering, full lock test
  • Brakes test

 

 
  • Any signs of previous accident damage including A, B, C posts, sills, boot floor, front cross member, front and rear inner wings, and bulk head
  • Visual conditional check for signs of damage, missing items, glass light lenses, wheels, brake disc condition and interior
  • ICE, electrics, central locking, key operation
  • Road test
  • Clutch
  • Gearbox test – all gears & reverse select and operate correctly

Car data checks

Car data company checks are very helpful, and we do advise using these to find out if vehicles have any markers, for example, stolen vehicles, outstanding finance, or insurance write-offs. However, not all accidents are recorded. We can ascertain if a vehicle has sustained accident damage or previous paint repairs. We state how the vehicle truly reflects its age and miles.

With our car collection service, we move vehicles on fully insured DVLC registered trade plates, to deliver your vehicle to your door and complete the handover process. We benefit from AA national breakdown cover. We are based in the Midlands so we can easily travel Nationwide to assess, collect and deliver or combine the two services.

What to do after getting a quote?

Purchase a vehicle data check. There are numerous companies that offer these checks for markers such as stolen, outstanding finance and insurance total loss.

Get permission from the seller for our Integrity Check to take place, we will contact them once permission is given.

The vehicle must be available for inspection as the full fee will be charged if our assessor arrives and the vehicle is not available.

In addition:

  • The vehicle must be available for inspections and be in a reasonably clean condition.
  • Electric vehicles must be fully charged for the inspection.
  • Vehicles must have a current MOT or be booked in for one for collection and delivery.

 
 
 
 

 

 

 

Disclaimer and cancellations

Any defects or notes are reported to after the car purchase inspection. It's then for you to raise these with the seller, and it's their responsibility to look at any defects or notes reported.

A cancellation fee of £25 will apply if you cancel by 2pm on the day before the inspection and/or collection, or £55 if it's after 2pm the day before.
